This is the association where the top  makeup artists and hairdressers of the industry can be found, where they find work for theatre, tv, films and can advertise their companies and skilled professionals.

NASMAH came together in 1996 after 6 film and tv artists invited some of the top professionals in the industry to create an association which wanted to maintain the high standards of artistry achieved in the previous years.

Their aims are as follows -
To maintain the high standards of artistry achieved over the past years;
To raise the member's profile within the industry;
To encourage and promote further training for its members and training generally throughout the industry;
To affiliate itself to other associations in order to further the advancement of its members; and
To be non-political and nationwide. Please note: NASMAH is not a union.
NASMAH is a non-profit organisation and is funded by member subscriptions and sponsorships.

One of the associates who sponser NASMAH is Greasepaint, a company whos products we use in college.

They were made in 1979, and have always welcomed students onto their make-up courses from all over the world. The tutors on the makeup courses are industry-based make-up designers who are also highly skilled at passing on their knowledge. At the end of your make-up training, you'll put what you've learnt into practice with their 'on set' filming days and professional photoshoots!
